Residents Record Easter Service for Community Radio
Residents at a retirement village in Nantwich have come together to record a special Easter broadcast for The Cat Radio.
Richmond Villages Nantwich have a close connection to St. Mary’s Church; many residents attend every Sunday and regularly support seasonal events and community activities.
In the lead up to this year’s Easter Sunday Service, residents have decided to bring some joy to the community by recording a service to air on The Cat Radio.
The service will include a reading from resident, Rosemary Johnson, who was a former deputy headteacher at Crewe Grammar School for Girls.
Rosemary commented: “I am thrilled to be taking part in St Mary’s Easter broadcast. I have been a longstanding member of the church, and it always feels very rewarding to give back to the community that has supported me so much over the years. I’m hoping to add a personal and heartfelt touch to the celebration.”
The service is led by Paul Ramsey, a reader from St. Mary’s Church, who regularly takes the weekly service at Richmond Villages Nantwich. The Wells Green Choir also plays a key role in the service, assisting with the hymns and enriching the worship.
Lynne Griffin, Richmond Villages Nantwich Manager, said: “This collaboration between St. Mary’s Church, Richmond Villages Nantwich and The Cat Radio demonstrates a strong community spirit, and is a brilliant opportunity for everyone to come together to support a special, seasonal occasion. We’re looking forward to hearing the service on the airways.”
Those looking to listen, can tune into The Cat Radio on Sunday 20th April at 10:30am.
