I worked at this care home for 8 years and loved it so it was the only choice for my mum in law when she needed extra help. The home is like a 5 star hotel. The staff are caring compassionate and always cheerful when dealing with her needs nothing is to much trouble. She always enjoys the meals served and is never left hungry. The manager is lovely and always has an open door.

My 94 year old mother was extremely apprehensive about the prospect of leaving her long term home and joining the community at Letcombe Regis. The management team of Claire and Natalie were extraordinary compassionate and professional in their treatment of my mother who felt much more comfortable with the notion of moving in. Highly recommend the facility

Richmond Retirement Village at Letcombe Regis is set in stunning surroundings with a nature reserve on the doorstep, lots of mature trees, a lake & plenty of wildlife. Wantage market town is close by and easily accessible with own transport or transport provided by Richmond. There is a variety of apartments to choose from. Staff are friendly & caring. The residents are friendly & sociable. There are a range of activities on offer, including the wellness spa, sports discussions, bowls, bridge club, book club & afternoon tea. Richmond also have services like hair dressing, physio & ‘footcare’ available on site which is where I come in!!

The Letcombe Regis site is absolutely lovely and my mother is very happy having moved in recently. The sales team at Richmond Villages assisted hugely with the move process, being very proactive chasing down issues along our transaction chain. Thanks very much to Damian and Barbara. Once moved in the maintenance team have also been very helpful (sorting out issues with the boiler and even hanging a couple of mirrors/pictures). Really looking forward to Spring and making the most of the site and surrounding area.

In recent years, we have been discussing the possibility of my parents moving from the family home of 50 years to a retirement property. We saw that Richmond Villages offer independent, assisted living and care home options on the same site which we thought was a good concept so that any change in needs can be accommodated within the same community. We picked Letcombe Regis because it is situated roughly halfway between my brother and I. We booked an appointment for both of us to view, initially without mum and dad. Unfortunately, due to covid, I wasn’t able to go but Damian, one of the village advisers, was happy for just my brother to visit with a view to potentially showing it all to me separately at a later date. He gave a comprehensive tour of all the facilities and my brother was very impressed with the beautifully maintained site, the staff and the fact that all the residents seemed happy to be there! He was keen for us to show it to mum and dad and we decided with them that they should go for a 7 night ‘try before you buy’ stay. A few weeks later, I took them and Damian kindly showed me some of the properties for sale (both independent and assisted) so that I would know what mum and dad would be seeing later in the week once they had settled in. Moving at any age is a big decision and Damian spent time with them discussing what they were looking for and whether or not this move was right for them in terms of a retirement village and Letcombe Regis in particular. They viewed a number of properties several times and, by the end of the week, had an offer accepted on an independent living apartment. Since then, all the staff have been extremely helpful in assisting us to get the process underway. As a family, we are all very excited for the move. Hopefully mum and dad will soon feel part of a new community and will be able to enjoy some of the many activities the village has to offer.
