Last week the local community joined residents and staff at a special charity quiz night hosted at Richmond Villages Nantwich, which raised an impressive £950 for Dougie Mac Hospice.

Dougie Mac Hospice provides essential services to adults, young adults and children living with a life-limiting illness; also offering supportive care for their families and carers.  The fundraising evening saw Dave Foulkes – a generous supporter of Richmond Villages Nantwich who regularly gives up his time freely to help raise money for charity - reprise his appearance as quiz master, leading a fun-filled night for everyone involved.

The evening included fish and chips for all, and a cash raffle with the top prize being a spa day for two at Rookery Hall, who generously donated the experience to support the event.

The charity quiz night was organised by Nantwich residents Mr and Mrs Kuhn, along with their great-niece Megan, who is taking on the Stoke Half Marathon as part of her fundraising efforts for Dougie Mac Hospice.

Jane-Ann Stubbs, Head of Lifestyle and Wellbeing at Richmond Villages Nantwich, commented: "It was a fantastic evening, and we loved welcoming so many residents, their families and those from the wider community who helped raise such a huge amount for such an important cause. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the night such a success."
