Richmond Villages Bede Raises £970 for Zoe's Place Baby Hospice
Richmond Villages Bede recently brought residents, staff and people from the local community together to raise £970 for Zoe's Place Baby Hospice Coventry thanks to a week-long series of fundraising events.
The village hosted a series of yellow-themed events throughout the week, including coffee and cake mornings, and a fun-filled sports afternoon. For its grand finale event at the end of the week, the team transformed the village into a magical wonderland to host its Mad Hatter's Tea Party where guests enjoyed a fantastic afternoon filled with plenty of tea and delicious cake. A few familiar Wonderland characters also made some special appearances.
The fundraising week formed part of Richmond Villages Bede's commitment to supporting Zoe's Place Baby Hospice, which provides care and support for babies and young children living with life-limiting and complex conditions, as well as support for their families.
Debra Cosgrove, Village Manager at Richmond Villages Bede, said: "We are thrilled to have raised £970 for Zoe's Place Baby Hospice. The week demonstrated the strength of our community and our commitment to supporting a charity that provides vital services to vulnerable children and families in the Coventry area.
“We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising efforts throughout the week and helped make our finale celebration such a memorable occasion."
The fundraising efforts are part of ongoing support for the charity. Earlier this year, Tina Lawton, Care Home Manager, was accepted as a runner for the London Marathon and will be fundraising for Zoe's Place as part of her participation.
