Residents at Richmond Villages Painswick Receive A Visit From Unexpected Animal Guests

Residents at Richmond Villages Painswick have received some unusual guests this month, as a range of zoo animals paid a visit.

In the hope to share fascinating animal facts and offer new experiences, ZooLab animal handling visited staff and residents at Richmond Villages Painswick. The lineup of small but friendly animals included a gecko, a stick insect, a tree frog and a giant snail. However, the star of the show, as residents called it, was the ‘surprisingly cuddly’ python.

Margaret Heathcote, resident at Richmond Villages Painswick, said: “What a wonderful experience! I certainly wasn’t expecting to meet a giant snake today, but it made my day. I asked lots of questions and the animal handlers knew all the answers, they were very knowledgeable.”

Cheryl Cox, Village Manager, added: “It was brilliant to see everybody engaging with the animals and asking lots of questions. These types of activities do a great job of stimulating residents’ curiosity and providing them with new experiences. We’ll certainly have the ZooLab team back for more activities like this.”

ZooLab is a professional animal handling experience service. It is family owned and puts animal welfare at the forefront of everything they do.
