Richmond Villages Witney held a community event on Saturday 6th of December, inviting families, residents, staff and community members to celebrate the festive season at their Christmas Gift Fayre.

The village organised festive stalls, live music, mulled wine, mince pies and a raffle.

Resident knitting group ‘Needles & Pins’ had a stall selling the knitted snowmen, Father Christmas, stockings and woolly hats that they made in their weekly group. Other residents helped man the tombola and ‘Water to Wine’ stalls.

Head of Activities, Jo Cambrey, said: “Our Christmas Fayre was magical! We wanted to imitate a typical Christmas market and bring the festive spirit into our village. It was a lovely way for the community, our residents, and their families to spend time together.”

The event brought together the residents of Richmond Villages Witney and the wider Witney community, who gathered at the village to enjoy the Christmas Fayre.

One resident commented: “I really enjoyed the variety of stalls and it was lovely to join in with the carol singing.”
