Richmond Villages Painswick Calls On Community For Charity Donations
Residents at Richmond Villages Painswick are raising funds for James Hopkins Trust in Gloucestershire.
The charity takes a positive impact on the lives of children who face severe health challenges and currently supports over 100 families in Gloucestershire. Since 1989, James Hopkins Trust has helped well over 600 children and their families across the country.
One care worker at the village, Sue, knitted Christmas puddings, gnomes and wreaths, the perfect stocking filler, to auction off in support of the charity. Sue and her team are now calling on the local community to get involved in their charity efforts by purchasing the homemade crafts.
Sue commented: “I love knitting and am so pleased to use my hobby to raise funds for a charity so close to my heart.”
Village manager, Cheryl Cox, said: “We’re all proud of Sue and her hard work. It’s important to give back, especially at Christmas. Activities like these really bring the community together.”
So far, Sue has raised over £200 for The James Hopkins Trust.
