Richmond Villages Bede Hosts Christmas Fayre to Support Macmillan Cancer Support
Richmond Villages Bede recently welcomed residents, staff, and visitors for a festive Christmas Fayre, raising vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event, held on Saturday 6th December from 2:30pm to 4:00pm, featured over 25 stalls offering gifts, perfumes, handbags, cakes - and even a special visit from Santa. Guests also took part in a raffle, with all proceeds going to the charity.
Combined with funds raised at September’s Macmillan Coffee Morning, the village proudly presented a total of £439 to Carol Collins, fundraiser for Macmillan. The coffee morning raised £233, while the Christmas raffle contributed £206.
Village Manager Debra Cosgrove commented: “It was wonderful to see the community come together to celebrate the season and support such an important cause.”
One villager, Lolla Cross, shared: “It was lovely to enjoy the Christmas fayre, the carers did a brilliant job of making everyone feel festive!”
Richmond Villages Bede continues to create opportunities for residents and the local community to connect while supporting charities that make a real difference.
