Richmond Villages Nantwich Celebrates Harvest With Community Foodbank Drive

Richmond Villages Nantwich has once again shown its commitment to the local community by collecting donations for Nantwich Foodbank, as part of its annual Harvest Festival celebrations.

Residents and staff at Richmond Villages Nantwich contributed generously, donating a wide range of items including tins, pasta, tea, coffee, biscuits and cereal. The donations were gathered across the village and culminated in a special Harvest Festival service, led by Paul Ramsey from St Mary’s Church Nantwich, held at the village for residents.

The Harvest Festival holds particular significance for many residents, especially those with farming backgrounds.

Rachel, a resident at Richmond Villages Nantwich, aged 101, commented: “I love harvest, it’s one of my favourite times of the year. I lived on a farm and used to decorate our church for the Harvest Festival. It was always such a special time, bringing everyone together to give thanks for the season’s blessings.”

Lynne Griffin, Village Manager, said: “Harvest is a time of reflection and generosity, and our residents and staff embrace it wholeheartedly. Supporting Nantwich Foodbank is a meaningful way for us to give back to the community.”

Looking ahead, Richmond Villages Nantwich will also be collecting items for the foodbank’s Christmas appeal throughout November, continuing its tradition of community support and seasonal giving.
