Primary school students learn from our residents
As part of an initiative by Richmond Villages, retirees living at Richmond Villages Nantwich shared life advice and wisdom with local school students.
The initiative called ‘Great Generations’ was designed to build positive connections between the younger and older generations. Richmond Villages Nantwich is building community ties with local schools in an effort to spark inspiration and meaningful conversations between the retirees and students.
Staff members are also inviting their young family members to speak with the residents, sharing life stories, advice, and learnings. The initiative is a great way for students to learn from the older generation and be inspired to live their best life.
Residents who live at Richmond Villages Nantwich, spent time sharing their life stories with local students including advice on how to achieve and maintain a long, happy marriage and live a peaceful life.
One student, Edie, asked the residents questions about their life and what advice they could offer, including one resident who has been married for 72 years who said to ‘always tell the truth and be happy’.
Another resident gave Eddie advice to ‘never settle for any less than you’re worth and always be kind.’
Richmond Villages Nantwich are always looking for ways to connect with the community, and plan to continue this initiative, connecting more residents and local students.
