Richmond Villages Aston-on-Trent Celebrates Good CQC Rating
Richmond Villages Aston-on-Trent has been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), following its latest inspection.
The CQC report assessed Aston-on-Trent as ‘Good’ overall and ‘Outstanding’ in caring. Staff, residents and family members were all thrilled by the result as it represents the continued effort and passion to provide a high standard of care.
During the inspection, the CQC team spoke to residents, relatives, healthcare professionals and staff to get their feedback on the service.
Inspectors reported that staff went the extra mile to provide compassionate care. They found ‘people had access to an extensive range of activities and facilities to promote independence and well-being’ and the provider was ‘excellent at promoting staff well-being.’
Aston-on-Trent Richmond Villages was proudly rated ‘outstanding’ in caring. The inspectors reported that staff knew residents and their interests well. During the inspection, they observed staff spending time with residents, participating in puzzles and other activities. The inspectors reported ‘staff went the extra mile to celebrate special moments for couples with small romantic gestures.’
Village Manager, Kerstin Taylor, commented: “We are absolutely thrilled with this CQC rating. It’s a direct reflection of the commitment and compassion our team demonstrates every single day. Their tireless efforts ensure our residents receive empathetic and person-centred care and this recognition is truly well deserved.”
Registered Care Home Manager, Prathap Junjuri, added: “We hope this rating offers significant reassurance to our residents and their families – affirming our commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment.”
The report identified Aston-on-Trent’s exceptional ability to promote people’s independence, relationships, health and wellbeing. The village has a comprehensive 7 day a week activities programme, including entertainment, exercise, and games.
