Village Raise funds for Alzheimer's Research
Richmond Villages Wood Norton recently hosted a fundraising event which raised £890 for Alzheimer’s research.
Residents at the village, along with the dedicated activity team, joined forces with Evesham and Pershore District Fundraising Group to organise a coffee morning in aid of Alzheimer’s Research, a cause close to the residents’ hearts.
The group also arranged a tombola and craft stalls which were open to residents and the public to enjoy - with proceeds from the items purchased going to cause.
Resident at Wood Norton, Jill Thomsett, commented: “It was a pleasure to help organise this event with my fellow residents, the activity team and Evesham and Pershore District Fundraising Group. We all had so much fun putting it together and were so pleased with the turnout. It is amazing that we raised £890, it’s wonderful to see the positive impact we can make when we work together.”
Village Manager, James Culley, said: “We are always looking for ways to give back and connect with our community, this event was no different. It was great to see community members and residents bonding over coffee.”
