Richmond Villages Bede Celebrates Successful Community Programme with Park Lane Primary School
Richmond Villages Bede proudly announces the success of its ongoing community engagement programme with Park Lane Primary School in Nuneaton. For over a year, this collaborative effort has brought joy, laughter, and meaningful connections between generations.
The programme, designed for pupils aged 7 to 10, involves fortnightly visits to the care home, where they bring along an activity to share with the residents, followed by lunch together in the restaurant.
"It’s a really positive experience for our residents, it helps to raise their wellbeing" said Louise Smith, Activities Manager at Richmond Villages Bede. "They mix with the children and reminisce on when they were at school."
The programme not only brings joy to the residents as they engage in creative, hands-on, activities but also offers valuable learning experiences for the children. It provides them with an opportunity to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds, promoting empathy and understanding. "We believe in the power of community engagement," added Louise. "By bridging generations and creating meaningful connections, we not only enrich the lives of our residents but also contribute positively to the broader community." Richmond Villages Bede is committed to promoting initiatives that encourage community well-being and inclusivity.
Richmond Villages Bede offers a range of retirement properties available to purchase, as well as a care home providing an exceptional standard of dementia and nursing care to residents.
