Jackie enjoys new friendships and social life after moving to Richmond Villages
After living in a large bungalow on her own for 5 years with little to do apart from knitting and sewing, plus not really going out because she’d lost her husband, Jackie decided to take the plunge and move to local retirement village, Richmond Villages Aston-on-Trent. Like many people, she had a few reservations prior to moving to the village, mainly because she was moving on her own, however these were quickly overcome and she realised Richmond Villages was the perfect fit for her.
“I was very impressed when I came to look around and although I didn’t know anybody, I made new friends straight away” Jackie added.
Jackie chose a beautiful two-bedroom, ground floor apartment in the stunning phase three development of the retirement village. Having moved to the village on her own, Jackie was looking forward to getting fully involved in the vibrant community.
When asked what life is like living at Richmond Villages, Jackie said:
“Life here for me is wonderful. I absolutely love it. I join in every possible thing I can, from wood working classes to knit and natter and quiz nights. I’m even the quiz master sometimes!”
Whilst Jackie gets involved with as many activities as she can, she also enjoys a busy social life with her newfound friends.
“I’ve also made lots of good friends. One particular friend – we go out every weekend and enjoy lunch out and we play a lot of scrabble, maybe too much scrabble!” Says Jackie.
When asked what the best part about living at Richmond Villages is for her, Jackie responded with:
“The best part of living at Richmond Villages for me is the friendships I have made.”
