Care at the heart of the village

Richmond Villages provide on-site care facilities across all 10 of its village locations, supporting residents with a wide range of care needs including nursing, residential, dementia and short stay care (varying by village), in a safe and welcoming environment. Offering beautifully presented private bedrooms and communal spaces, a varied schedule of stimulating activities and personalised care and support 24 hours a day, the homes provide a holistic care experience for you or your loved one.

All Richmond Villages’ care homes encourage and support residents to keep doing the things that are important to them, whether that’s an existing hobby, having a glass of wine with their meal, or going for a daily walk. There are also daily activities to encourage independence and promote physical and mental wellbeing, such as gardening, baking, singing and arts and crafts. The social events are also a great opportunity for residents to make new friends.

Richmond Villages Willaston, which opened in 2021, is a purpose-built dementia village in Cheshire. Inspired by a transformational approach to dementia care from the Netherlands, the village has been carefully designed to support those living with dementia to live as independently as possible for as long as possible in shared households. Reminiscence sessions, shared history, and musical therapy feature as part of its daily activities, as well as time spent outdoors, enjoying the sensory gardens.

The daughter of residents who live at Richmond Villages Willaston said: “What a place, pretty much the best setup ever. The staff are so very kind, compassionate and an absolute joy to be with. “My parents' care has been exemplary. Richmond Villages has been an absolute lifeline and nothing is too much trouble.”

The care homes’ fully qualified nurses are trained in all aspects of elderly care, ranging from personal to palliative. The care homes also benefit from the services of a visiting GP, full-time social and recreational therapists, and a chiropodist .Richmond Villages care homes carefully plan individual's care in conjunction with the resident receiving care and their loved ones, ensuring the care they receive is highly personal and appropriate. This guarantees that the wishes of the person being cared for are paramount, and their dignity and respect is continuously upheld without question.

The grandson of a resident who lives at Richmond Villages Cheltenham said: “My grandmother is a resident of this care home and I cannot praise them enough. The care is excellent and the staff are lovely, they genuinely know her needs and character. The home itself is very relaxed and welcoming, it feels like a 5 star hotel. They are also very accommodating with the residents’ specific needs and are very supportive with health and welfare requirements.”
