Dementia care, redesigned

Inspired by a transformational approach to dementia care from the Netherlands, our philosophy is to support people to live as independently as possible for as long as possible, with our households accommodating 36 residents. Our model is quite different from traditional dementia care settings. This can really help to maintain proactive and positive lifestyles. Within Richmond Villages Willaston is also a 35-bed care home. This means that those living with more advanced stages of dementia can progress to a higher level of care.

Beautiful outdoor spaces

Residents have a choice of pleasant outside spaces to enjoy freely and unassisted, if they wish. Bedrooms have French doors onto their own patio areas. Secure gardens offer pretty flowerbeds, easily accessible lawns, shady trees and sunny terraces. There’s even a greenhouse for keen gardeners. Such a lovely place, the staff are absolutely amazing — incredibly kind and supportive for the residents and their relatives. The village has a beautiful layout, very spacious and bright, and has some absolutely gorgeous gardens. The staff were so kind as to let me have a week’s work experience, and I enjoyed every moment of it. There is always something for the residents to be doing, with many fun activities and events everyday. The atmosphere is so welcoming and everyone is so friendly, and the staff and carers take such great care and effort into ensuring every resident feels comfortable and supported through the night and the day. Such an amazing place with absolutely brilliant staff and carers!
When I have visited Richmond Willaston I have always been so overwhelmed by the welcoming approach from Amanda on reception and all of the other lovely staff. I am always made to feel so welcome and part of the family even just as a visitor. The home is 5* all round and I love my days when I visit. It is lovely to see how happy all of the residents are each day and how loved they are by all of the staff. Richmond really is a place like home.
Had a lovely Spring Discovery visit on Friday 4th April as part of the Thursday Club, Nantwich group. Food and drinks were excellent followed by a tour of the gardens and households. Thanks to all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Hello, I am the PETS AS THERAPY representative (with my Great Dane -Freya) for this lovely care home. It is a fabulous property with exceptional care, very modern and bright, full length windows overlooking fields and pretty gardens. The households still maintain a certain amount of independence and the residence are free to participate in a wide spectrum of activities…. On the upper level is a higher level of care with nurses and carers in good supply! A beautiful, clean and fresh home.
As a regular visitor, I am always impressed with the warm welcome on every visit from all the team. What sets Richmond Village Willaston apart is their commitment to fostering a sense of community. Activities are tailored to engage residents, and there's a genuine effort to create moments of joy. It's evident that the team takes a individual-centered approach, ensuring each resident is treated with dignity and respect. It is well-maintained and thoughtfully designed to cater to the unique needs of residents with dementia.
