More information on what you can expect to pay
A key benefit to living at Richmond Villages is the level of service provided to make life more comfortable and enjoyable; things that we take care of so you don’t have to worry. These core services are paid for via the Service Charge which every resident who lives in a Village Apartment or Village Suite will contribute to. This covers everything from buildings insurance, gardening and maintenance, to the use of Village transport, leisure facilities and regular activities and events.
Your lease includes a provision for a payment to Richmond Villages on the sale of your apartment in the future when the lease is assigned to a new owner. This payment is a percentage of the price at which your apartment is sold and varies according to how long you have owned the property. Your Village Advisor can explain this in more detail.
To complement your life in a Village Suite you will pay an agreed monthly fee which will take care of many aspects of daily life that you just don’t need to worry about:
The cost of lifestyle packages range in scale and are dependent on how many people are living in a suite (individual or couple) and how many bedrooms the suite has.
Richmond Villages residents have our firm undertaking that their monthly Lifestyle Package Fee will increase only once a year, on the 1st April. This increase is based upon 2 index figures, the National Living Wage and the Consumer Price Index. 50% of the fee is aligned with the annual National Living Wage increase and 50% is aligned with the Consumer Price Index increase.
In line with our terms and conditions, residents receive at least a month’s written notice of changes to their fees for the following year.

Our dedicated domiciliary team can provide personal care and in-home support to those living in our Village Apartments or Suites. This can be tailored to your individual wishes and needs so these will determine the overall cost. A simple assessment will outline what you require and costs will be agreed prior to the package being added to your Richmond Villages' account.
When you have decided the time is right for you to move into a care home you may feel worried and confused about how to pay the associated fees. As no two people are the same it’s difficult to outline what those fees may look like until we have met with you.
Once we have assessed your personal wishes and requirements our Village Advisors can clearly outline what you will need to pay and explain why. This will depend on the level of care and the length of stay that has been identified. Quite simply the more care and support you require, the higher the fees will increase.
In all circumstances, the fee at Richmond will always include the care provision bespoke to you, a comprehensive social activities programme; all meals and soft drinks plus lifestyle services such as laundry and housekeeping.
