Open Day at Richmond Painswick

On Saturday 6th May, between 10 am and 4pm, Richmond Painswick will once again be opening its doors to members of the public who are interested in finding out more about the range of facilities and services available at the award-winning retirement village.  

As well as having the opportunity to view the facilities available, visitors will be able to obtain advice from St James Place, Wealth Management on care fees planning and investments. 

Throughout the day there will be the opportunity to view a Village Apartment, and a range of Village Suites which provide an excellent alternative to residential care.  Each apartment has its own sitting room, kitchenette and en-suite bedroom with the benefit of a hotel style service which includes all meals being provided along with all housekeeping and laundry being taken care of.  Personal care can also be provided through the on-site domiciliary care team.

For those who are looking for 24-hour nursing care then there will be escorted tours of our boutique 24 en-suite bedroom care home which provide long stay, short stay and convalescent nursing care.  

Staff will be on hand to talk about all aspects of village life, as well as the range of services and facilities available, including “Richmond Retreats” holidays with care.

During your visit why not pamper yourself in the Wellness Spa? As a special offer to visitors we are offering 30 minute taster sessions including express manicure, power breakfast facial and back/shoulder massage at £25 per session (booking essential).

Tetbury is well known for its 25 antique shops and its close proximity to Prince Charles's residence of Highgrove. The town has a wonderful variety of shops including many specialist shops and cafes.

Vineyard Tour and Lunch

Vineyard Tour and Lunch

10am Depart to Three Choirs Vineyard, Newent.

Take an informal yet educational tour of one of England's largest single estate wineries, The tour winds through the vines to talk about the history of the vineyard and the growing of grapes.

From there you are taken into the winery where the wine making process is explained. The guide will offer you four different wines to taste before enjoying lunch in the restaurant. (Tour starts at 11am and lasts approx 1hour. Please note there are no rest areas on the tour) The cost for the tour is £12.50 pp extra to the cost of your meal.)

Return at 2.30pm. Please book at reception.

Guest speaker William Reddaway at Richmond Painswick

3pm Guest Speaker in the Auditorium, Retired manager, William Reddaway, completed a

seven-month charity challenge to travel with his horse around the UK.

William left the Farncombe Estate, on the Worcestershire/Gloucestershire border in May 2013

hoping to ride the majority of the 2,660-mile journey.

Please join William in the Auditorium as he tells us his story.
