Remembrance Day at Richmond Nantwich

30 November 2016

We were honoured today to have two of our residents lay a wreath for Remembrance Day, with members of the Royal British Legion, Rev Barry Wilson from St Mary's Church in Nantwich and fellow residents , friends and family in attendance.
Mr William Greetham was a pilot with the Royal Air Force and served with both Coastal Command & Transport Command taking part in sorties across Germany. William flew again in a Tiger Moth in 2003 as part of celebrations for his 80th birthday watched by his family and his beloved wife Theodora. William has two daughters, Margaret & Sheila and two sons Kenneth & Michael plus 1 grandson, 3 granddaughters and 3 great grandchildren all of whom are extremely proud of him for the part he has played today.
Joining William was Mrs Errol Lochhead who helped lay the wreath in memory of her husband Major Malcolm Lochhead of 29 Commando, Plymouth and her eldest son Captain Gavin Lochhead, who sadly lost his life in service whilst serving with the S.A.S in Belize in 1982 at the age of 28.
