Richmond Village Nantwich opened its doors recently to local clubs and societies who joined residents and guests in finding out just what “Life in Nantwich” is like.
As well as the Village’s own Bowls and Amenities Clubs, local groups The Crewe Senior Forum and South Cheshire Model Engineering Society joined Nantwich Museum, The Royal British
Legion and Worleston WI to provide information on what each club can offer.
Mayor of Nantwich, Andrew Martin came along and was seen chatting in great depth to the members of the modelling club as he admired the models brought along whilst Village Manager,
Lynne Griffin met Henry the service dog and his master Simon Harwood. Henry is
trained to help Simon with day to day chores but also warns him when his blood sugars are low; he has even woke him up on occasions!
Even the Village’s driver, Dave Hulse turned up in his lycra training outfit as he helps raise money for The Royal British Legion by competing a triathlon later in the year.
The afternoon finished with a music from Clarinettist Susan Walker.
