Richmond Northampton May Day Celebrations

Villagers at Northampton are looking forward to the annual "May Day" celebrations on the village green with traditional Maypole and Country Dancing.

We have great delight in dancing around the maypole.  For those villagers who are unable to join in will come along to watch this fun event. The afternoon is then rounded of nicely with the traditional Cream Tea.

V.E Day Celebrations

V.E Day Celebrations

Today we are celebrating V.E Day at Northampton, with a traditional Street party to mark 70 years since the end of World War II.

The Village Centre will be transformed back to 1945 for a grand party. Including best 1940’s outfit competition, posters and pictures of the era and villagers photographs of the street parties that took place in Northamptonshire.

Lunch will be a1940’s style buffet served within street party style, weather permitting we might even be outside. In the afternoon we have the Homestead Singers coming to perform songs that won the war and for everyone to have a great sing a long, not forgetting the National Anthem!

Cross stitch classes

Cross stitch classes

Come along to the Art & Crafts room on Monday 13th April from 2.00pm, and join Majorie Dunning who will be leading a cross stitch class, which will run for 6 weeks.

No experience necessary. So if you want to have a go Majorie will supply you with a starter kit and help you along.

Refreshments will be served, all are welcome.

Bank Holiday Spring Fair at Richmond Nantwich

Richmond Nantwich are delighted to be holding a Bank Holiday Spring Fair.

 On Bank Holiday Monday 25th May, local companies and craft stalls will be at Richmond Nantwich selling tasty treats and unusual gifts including  Flora Delight's cupcakes, Homemade Chocolates, Lesley B Crafts, Sox Felt Sew Goods plus crafts, clothing and jewellery. There will also be a group of local artists led by Anne Roach, exhibiting their work. Later in the afternoon, entertainment will be provided by The Methodist Singers. Refreshments will be available throughout the day.

 The Spring Fayre will be open between 11am and 4pm with The Methodist Singers performing from 2pm.
