11th Most Recommended Care Home in the East Midlands

24 March 2015

Richmond Northampton is proud to announce that through the “Carehome.co.uk Awards” it has been recognised as one of the top twenty care homes in the East Midlands region.   These awards are distributed based on the recommendations from the family and friends of care home residents, whether permanent or simply on respite or convalescent care.   With many care homes being eligible for these awards, this is indeed a great reflection on how seriously we consider the care and well being of our residents as a priority.

Cathy Goldsmith, Clinical Nurse and Deputy Manager, stated “This is testament to the dedication and hard work from all our staff at all levels, who are always welcoming to families and residents and to the many that go the extra mile to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay at Richmond Northampton.  I am very proud to lead such a great team”.

The village plans to hold a party for residents, families, friends and staff as a way of celebrating this achievement and saying “thank you” to all those who helped put Richmond Northampton on the “care home map”.

The village enjoys not only a family feel but also a genuine community spirit.  It works closely with the local parish council and Northampton University, where students attend to gain experience of working in a care environment.   We also sponsor a local youth football team and have daily activities for residents put together by our dedicated Activities Team.
Our ethos is to ensure our residents enjoy a full and active social life whilst catering for their individual care needs.

Paul Bundyford, Village Manager, states “I couldn’t be more pleased with this recognition, but it should come as no surprise to us given the level of commitment I witness from each member of staff each and every day.  It is richly deserved and I for one cannot wait to celebrate this achievement with residents and team”.
