Investment Surgery at Richmond Painswick

5th March 2014

Investment Surgery at Richmond Painswick

Investment Surgery .. Is your income suffering

from record low interest rates?

Britain has witnessed a prolonged period of record low interest rates since 2009; while the Bank of England has indicated that it could be 2016 before interest rates rise. With the ever-present threat of inflation, savers face the very real threat of a gradual erosion of their capital as they try to meet their income needs. Indeed, many savers now hold cash in deposit accounts with returns that are losing money in real terms.

We would like to invite you to a coffee morning at 10am in the cafe to join Alex Wilkie, an Associate Partner of St James’s Place Wealth Management for an informal discussion on the issues of generating income in the current low interest rate environment, Alex will be happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding this area.

Service is being held at Richmond Village Nantwich on Thursday 18th
March from 2 to 5pm.

The Royal Voluntary Service, which will be
celebrating its 75th birthday this year, has recently changed from
being the Women’s Royal Voluntary Service and is now appealing for new
volunteers to help enrich the lives of older people and their families across

Jo Roberts, Services Manager for the Charity visited
the Village recently with her Deputy, Amy Cartwright and explained that they
are hoping to encourage new volunteers to support older people by giving time and
practical help.  She added “Our
volunteers are ordinary men and women of all ages who are willing to spend time
with older people helping them to feel valued and involved whatever their age.
The afternoon at Richmond will allow people to come and find out about us and
to meet volunteers to chat about what is involved.”

Village Advisor Alison Harding remarked “We are delighted to be supporting
the RVS by hosting the information afternoon and helping to re-launch this
valuable service under its new name.”
