Richmond Village Nantwich is delighted to be supporting St Luke’s Hospice at its annual Summer Fayre which this year will be held on Sunday 14th July.
There will be live music and over 20 craft, food and gift stalls whilst CAT radio will broadcast live from the event during the day.
The Fayre will culminate in a charity balloon race which this year is kindly being sponsored by Mr Graham Tressider of Nantwich Funeral Services. The money raised will be donated to St Luke’s Hospice in Winsford which is commemorating 25 years of care within the local community.
In 2011 it cost almost £3.16 million to run St Luke’s and 72% of this needs to be raised by the public one way or another.
Nicola Tooke, Village Advisor at Richmond Nantwich remarked
“The balloon race is a fun way to help raise vital funds for St Luke’s. It is such a wonderful place and offers help and support to adults affected by terminal illness, including my mum and dad a few years ago. We are delighted to be supporting the charity this year and hope that people will buy one of the balloons and maybe win a fantastic prize in doing so!”
The balloons are now on sale for £2 and can be bought by visiting Richmond Village Nantwich or telephoning 01270 629080. They are also available at Swirly Whirlies, the St Luke’s crepe and coffee shop in Nantwich and at the Hospice itself. They will also be on sale at The Summer Fayre itself which will is open to everyone and is free to enter. For more information please contact either Alison or Nicola at the Village.
