Richmond Nantwich and Sainsburys recently delivered over 150 cuddly toys to The Wingate Centre in Wrenbury after the toys were donated by Residents from the Retirement Village and generous customers at the local Sainsburys store in Nantwich.
The Wingate Centre offers much needed respite breaks and holidays for disabled children and teenagers and presents a cuddly toy to each and every one of them as soon as they arrive.
Jill Butler, spokesperson for the Wingate centre remarked “The children who come here can be quite nervous and a cuddly toy is very comforting. They then take the cuddly toys home with them as a reminder of their stay.”
This is the second year that toys have been donated to the Wingate Centre. In Easter, Richmond Nantwich and Sainsburys will be joining The CAT radio to launch the third Easter Egg Appeal to provide a little chocolate heaven to local underprivileged and poorly children.
