Richmond Village Northampton celebrated the success of one of its staff members in the Great East Midlands Care Awards. Chris Rayatt-Howard was given the award of care activity organiser for his efforts and dedication when organising activities for the village residents. The ceremony was held at The Belfry, Nottingham, this prestigious award was presented by Martin Kemp of Spandau Ballet and Eastenders fame.
"This award is a fantastic achievement and truly deserved for Chris who not only has the full support of Richmond Northampton and its staff but is also wholeheartedly endorsed by its residents" said Paul Bundyford, Village Manager.
Chris staved off stiff competition from care homes all across the region and will now go forward as a finalist into the Great British Care Awards Grand Final to be held in London next year.
"I am so thrilled to have won" said Chris. "To have been nominated was terrific in itself, but to win something as special as this for just doing my job is something I am really proud of. I'd like to thank everyone who thought I deserved this award".
