Richmond Nantwich Olympic Fun

6th August 2012

Richmond Nantwich Olympic Fun

Olympic Fun at Richmond Nantwich!

Richmond Village Nantwich rounded off a week of competition recently as it celebrated the Olympics in its own inimitable style.

Throughout the week, different events had been held at the Care Home and Retirement Village involving Residents and staff that brought out some real competitive streaks, plus lots of fun and laughter. This was especially true of the giant “Jenga” competition, the challenging “welly –wanging” afternoon, and the eventful balloon volleyball.

Gold medals were awarded to the winners and, on Saturday, the Closing Ceremony was attended by Olwyn Payton from Sainsburys in Nantwich who kindly donated the prizes.

As she presented the prizes, Olwyn remarked “Sainsburys was delighted to sponsor the Closing Ceremony and it is obvious that everyone had had a wonderful time either taking part or just watching. It would be wonderful if Richmond Village could repeat the sports events next year and I might even take part!”
