Residents and guests at Richmond Village Nantwich marked World Book Day by welcoming two local authors to their celebrations.
Anne Wragg, author of “Peggy Wood – Fighting the Law” together with local historian and author of several Nantwich History books Andrew Lamberton, both read excerpts from their books and then chatted to Residents about their experiences over a cup of tea and cakes.
In addition, staff and volunteers from local charity “Scope” manned a book sale which proved to be extremely popular.
Organiser Alison Harding remarked “We were all delighted to be involved with World Book Day. There are not many people who do not enjoy reading a good book at some time, myself included and it was lovely to hear the authors reading from their own published works.”
