Residents at Richmond Northampton Have raised just over a staggering £2000 for the MacMillan Cancer Care Trust.
Residents have been making and selling handmade cards at one of the many Craft sessions, Residents also have a Quiz night every month and ask for a minimum donation of £1 per person playing and of course taking part in the world’s largest Coffee Morning in September is still to come.
Resident Greta Shaw spends most of her time making and selling cards for the Village shop and said “it’s fantastic to have the opportunity to sell the cards at no commission to the shop so all the money goes to the local MacMillan Cancer care Trust”
Christopher Rayatt Social & Recreational Therapist said “It’s great to sell professional looking cards that are handmade and the money going to a worthwhile and needed charity we will continue to support this cause”
Richmond Northampton’s official Nominated Charities for 2010 is the M.S Society and The Cynthia Spencer Hospice in Northampton
