You’ve had to wait two years, but at last Letcopmbe Regis's own horticultural extravaganza takes place at the end of this month.
Now is your chance to peep behind hedges and walls and discover some of our village’s secret gardens. Ten private gardens for you this year: some new, some long-established; some small and some sizeable—each one a hidden gem to delight and inspire. And this year there’s the additional attraction of a new garden created by our Richmond neighbours. All for only £5 (that’s less than 50p a garden!) which goes towards the upkeep of our historic 12th century church. Children under 16 free.
Take a gentle stroll round the village enjoying the gardens, treat yourself to an ice cream at Richmond Lodge or tea and cakes in the village hall and don’t forget to visit the plant stall. Also, new this year, we have a quiz about the gardens for children – with prizes, of course. It all makes for a lovely afternoon, so bring your friends (But, please, leave your dog at home.)
Programme with map available from the two car parking sites - at the village hall or the Greyhound; or from any of the participating gardens, easily identified with a big flower sign.
We can’t offer you Alan Titchmarsh but we can guarantee a fascinating afternoon, whatever the weather.
