Registered Manager / Commissioning Manager


 

About the role

  • It will be your responsibility to make sure the home is opened and fully operational on time. To ensure success from day one you will oversee all aspects of the launch of the care home, partnering with a range of internal and external stakeholders including operations and support services.

  • You will collaborate with the on-site sales team in advance of the village opening to ensure that we have an enquiry pipeline and admission plan.

  • You will embed the service operation procedures for clinical compliance from the outset of opening by continuous review and mentoring of key staff such as clinical lead.

  • A robust and proactive continuous recruitment plan will be vital to enable the fill rate for the expected occupancy without the need for agency candidates.

  • Finally, the successful candidate will be responsible for maximising the positive reputation of the care home within the local community prior to and from the opening.

     

    Who we’re looking for

  • A confident leader with the ability to manage with an open and approachable personality.

  • Being a Registered Nurse is desirable, but not essential, with experience of elderly care home management with strong commercial skills in terms of understanding the key drivers to achieving the financial plan.

  • Excellent communicator and someone who appreciates the need to work as part of an internal multi-disciplinary team.

  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a pressured environment

  • Resilience to working in a high-profile environment.

  • A strategic thinker to help develop the village especially during the commissioning period.

     

    Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse Qualification with active NMC pin number
  • Minimum NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care, and ideally a management qualification such as the Registered Manager’s Award, Level 5 Leadership

    Opening in Spring 2020 Richmond Willaston is a purpose-built specialist dementia village in Willaston, Cheshire. Inspired by the Dutch Model, Richmond Willaston enables people with dementia to live as independently as possible, for as long as possible.


    At Richmond Willaston, we hope to help transform the way people are supported to live with dementia in the UK. Our household model creates a supportive environment for those with early onset dementia, providing a positive and proactive lifestyle. We also support more advanced stages of dementia in our 35 bed care home.
