About the Role
We have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Operative to join our stunning purpose-built retirement village to ensure that the village, the plant and everything within the grounds is maintained to the highest of standards and thereby helping to ensure the comfort and safety of our residents. Reporting directly to the Head of Maintenance, the Maintenance Operative will ensure that the buildings, grounds, gardens and all equipment are maintained to a high standard of repair and aesthetic condition. You will also undertake occasional driving duties as required using company vehicles, including transporting residents and collecting/delivering equipment to and from the village.
Who we are looking for
You will need hands-on experience of property maintenance and a sound understanding of building services such as plumbing, ventilation, heating systems, water distribution and electrical distribution.
Practical experience of planned maintenance systems, record keeping, project and budget management.
Sound knowledge of statutory requirements and compliance.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, and ability to work well within a team.
Ideally, you may hold a building/electrical/plumbing qualification (BTEC, City & Guilds, ONC, HNC etc) and health and safety qualification (NEBOSH, COSHH, CIEH etc).
