The care and safety of our residents and staff continues to be our priority and we are working hard to keep everyone safe.
The Government has made a series of announcements over past weeks regarding rapid testing, vaccines and safe measures for visiting loved ones in care homes. We are working at pace to implement these initiatives as they become available to our villages and introduce any changes required to our visiting procedures.
In all cases, Village Managers will be in touch with residents and care home relatives to share more details of what’s possible for the village.
For reassurance, we remain fully enrolled in the government’s regular testing programme for residents (where applicable) and staff, which gives us a clear picture of the COVID-status in our villages and allows us to take swift action if there are any changes. We also continue to apply strict infection control procedures across our villages including increased cleaning, social distancing and the appropriate use of PPE.

Over the past few months, we have been going the extra mile to help our residents and their families feel safe and connected. We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of our wonderful residents, families and friends who have been sending cards and messages to us all at Richmond Villages. By way of sharing some of the positivity, here are just a few of the kind messages and reviews we’ve received recently.
The care home has a lovely, warm and friendly atmosphere. All staff are very caring and thoughtful and always happy to help when asked. Through the difficult time of lockdown, management and staff kept our relatives safe and did their utmost to keep their spirits up. Thank you very much to all.
Our first visit to see my relative on 12th July 2020 was very well managed, taking all necessary precautions to keep all parties safe from Covid-19 into account. Our lovely supervisor was helpful and thoughtful, and the experience was well thought out. Great to see my relative face-to-face. Thank you.

My father and sister visited Richmond Village when it was about to open, and were very pleased with what they saw. The rooms and facilities are excellent, with tasteful, contrasting decoration throughout. I was able to visit, shortly before Dad moved in. Fortunately, he moved in just before the Coronavirus lock-down. Subsequently, Dad was admitted to hospital for several days, and on his return, the staff were so caring and kind.
I live in the States, and so have been unable to visit since before the lock-down. However, the reports, shared by my sister, have always been so positive. With the introduction of FaceTime video calls, my wife and I have been able to talk with and see Dad every weekend. My children have been able to keep in touch with Grandpa from Seattle, Texas and Oklahoma City, on a regular basis. Dad is always smiling, laughing and happy with these video calls.
Our whole family is so pleased with the care Dad is receiving and thankful that he chose to move there.

Mum moved into Richmond for a trial run just before the lockdown. Throughout these very strange times, all the staff at the village have been unfailingly kind and helpful. Mum has been frequently touched by staff going the extra mile just to make her feel more settled and happier. The accommodation itself is excellent and the communal areas are beautifully decorated and laid out.
Mum has particularly enjoyed going up to the rooftop with its views and getting involved with the gardening club. She has also participated in a number of the exercise classes. She enjoys meeting other residents at lunchtime in the restaurant for a catch-up. The ability to enjoy all the facilities during the lockdown has been somewhat hampered but despite that, the staff have done everything they can to continue with as many activities as they safely can. Mum has now settled well and is happy.

Richmond Village, Nantwich is the gold standard of Care Homes. Yes, it's not cheap, but you do get what you pay for. This I have especially seen during the Covid-19 outbreak where the love and care of the Residents have been outstanding. Richmond Village has ensured that during the lockdown all families and residents have been able to keep in touch via video link, email, Facebook etc., plus have been sending out regular letters to families keeping us up to date about what's happening regarding testing, entertainment and other news. They have also ensured that if I need to contact them to ask anything at all, there are open channels of communication at all times.
Richmond Village is a safe and happy environment, and I hate to think what the situation would have been like if this had all happened a year ago when they were still independent living - especially as I live 200 miles away.
