Richmond Villages Witney Introducing Little Richmond Treasures

Following a recent documentary on Channel 4 Richmond Witney have linked with Witney’s Little Treasures Academy which is a fun and caring day care nursery.

Richmond Witney is delighted to be working in partnership to bring together a generational program of social activities to help to build friendships through play.    

We are bringing together a 6-week autumn social activity programme to six assisted living residents and eight nursery children aged from 3 yrs. to 5 yrs.

The program start’s on Wednesday 4th October from 10:30am – 11:30am and then every Wednesday until 15th November with a break for halt term.

We invite you to put on your dancing shoes to dance the afternoon away at our Golden Memories Tea Dance at Richmond Witney Retirement Village.

Save the Date: Thursday 5th October

Time: 2pm - 4pm

Venue: Richmond Witney, Coral Springs Ways, Curbridge Road, Witney, OX28 5DG

This will be followed by dances held on 1st Thursday of each month.

Witney Dementia Cafe

Alzheimer's Society Oxfordshire holding the first Witney Dementia Café at Richmond Villages Witney Wednesday 11th October at 10:30am - 12 noon. 

The cafe's provide people  with dementia and carers a platform to talk openly about living with dementia and other services available locally, within a relaxed and informal environment.

Our Dementia Cafe' sessions take place at:

Witney

OX28 5DG

On the second Wednesday of each month between 10:30am - 12 noon.

WINNER and a massive congratulations goes to Ryan Priddey our Head Chef was nominated to represent Richmond Witney at Richmond Chef Awards; whereby Ryan was invited to produce a 3 course meal that could be served on the restaurant menu.

Starter was a Cerney Ash goats cheese mousse, heritage beetroot, pistachio, green apple salad and a black olive coral wafer.

Main was a Wild Sea Bass with samphire, glazed baby vegetables, potato fondant with a Caviar burre blanc  

Dessert was a Burbon Vanilla butter mild panna cotta, with fresh honey comb and raspberries.

Ryan has been invited along with Steve Griffin Village Manager to a celebration dinner at Michelin starred Sir Charles Napier restaurant in Chinnor Oxfordshire on Wednesday 29th November 2017.

We are so proud of you Ryan at Richmond Witney keep up the excellent work in producing those mouth watering dishes.

We are so proud at Richmond Witney we have three staff members who have been shortlisted in the following awards categories:-

'Inspiring dementia support leadership' award

This award are for people who have demonstrated inspirational leadership to teams supporting people living with dementia and making positive changes to improving dementia support.

Both Suzi Morgan Sales Adviser and Jo Cambrey Head of Activities have demonstrated inspirational leadership across all teams within Richmond Witney to help our residents to live well with dementia and by taking steps to make positive changes to improve dementia support throughout Richmond Villages. 

 'Excellence in dementia care' (Individual or team award)

This award is to celebrate an individual or team who have demonstrated best practice and continue to strive for excellence in dementia care.

Helen Newman has demonstrated best practice in her role as a receptionist at front of house. Helen continues to strive for excellence in dementia care by helping and supporting our residents to express their wants and wishes.

We would like to wish Suzi, Jo and Helen best of luck on Tuesday 31st October at Richmond Villages Dementia Awards Ceremony.
