Dear Paul, I would like to take this opportunity following the death of my father, to express my appreciation of the quality of care which he has experienced from your staff from the time he moved in during June of last year until his final admission to hospital. I would like to single out two groups of people in particular. My gratitude to Sharon Sedgley is immense. She has, in my view, displayed exceptional professionalism and kindness in all her dealings with my Dad. I have written to her separately and felt I should let you know too how much I have valued her input. Her kindness (tempered, when we both agreed it was appropriate, with firmness!), her wisdom in enabling him to be as independent and as safe as possible and her diligence in her communications with me, listening to my concerns and anxieties patiently, have all been exemplary. Her team have also been excellent too. I have also greatly appreciated the unfailing efficiency of the Reception team. Mandy and Vivienne in particular have provided the smiling face and supportive word at many crucial moments.

Dear Paul, It was almost worth reaching 80 to be flattered by your speech on Thursday. Thank you very much for the beautiful and quite unexpected flowers I am also very grateful to all the members of the staff who participated in any way to what turned out to be a surprisingly enjoyable occasion. KD
We have enjoyed a very informative and impressive tour followed by an ample lunch. Everyone, staff and residents have been very pleasant and helpful. Accommodation is very well designed, specious and beautifully appointed. Our visit has given us much food for thought!
Just to say a big “Thank you” for “Tea at the Ritz”- a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. The cocktails and tea were excellent. The hard work all the Richmond Staff put into making the afternoon so enjoyable was much appreciated. Thank you all D Ramsay
I just wanted to thank Richmond Northampton for a most enjoyable and relaxing stay in room 39. All the staff are most helpful and courteous and I would particularly like to thank Jennifer in the restaurant. She has been most friendly as well as being very helpful and very professional. G Pitchford
Dear Valerie, It was lovely to meet you this morning. I would like to thank you on behalf of all of us for your kind welcome and tour of the apartments. My parents are really looking forward to their break with you. Would you please pass on our compliments to the Chef for the delicious lunch we had. Looking forward to bringing my parents back for their stay in July. Jill Baker
Thank you to all the staff at Richmond Village for such a lovely and unexpected gift of flowers. The staff have all been so kind and helpful to us and making us happy to be here. I am making a slow recovery but will soon come out of hibernation and participate in the activities available and some help which I may be able to give, best wishes J&A Moore

Thank you very much for the really nice sandwiches and various accompaniments all much enjoyed by Nigel (my son) and myself. We had a lovely afternoon just sitting in the car (window wide open) and exchanging family news. My idea of the perfect Mothers' Day - good food, good company, good weather in a good place (Salcey Forest) which has good memories for me

To The Staff, I would just like to thank you for all the love and care which you gave to my Mother. My mother was always very happy in the home and I am grateful that her final years were spent in beautiful surroundings and with lovely people.
Dear Sharon, I want to thank you and the girls for the excellent care that you gave my mother during the last month of her life. She wanted to end her days in her own apartment and you enabled her to do that. She was comforted by your presence. Many thanks once again CH
I have been meaning to write earlier but events at our home has I’m afraid delayed me writing. Thank you ALL for all the care and attention gave to Mum whilst she stayed at Richmond Village since November 2007. Everyone in all departments were so very kind to her and it was a great relief to me personally being almost 400 miles away that she was both safe and secure in her apartment. I am fully aware Mum had quite a few “off days” or difficult times with people, which had not been in her nature, being kind and sociable in earlier years. I suppose being in nearly constant pain and aged 91, allows a little bit of leeway!! I wish you all every success; Richmond Village is a beautiful place and a credit to everybody working there. Best wishes to everybody. Roger P
To the Management and Staff I would like to say "Thank you" for a Very Happy and Memorable 90th Birthday. Thanks to Sharon and her helpers. I arrived to find the Yellow Lounge all "laid out" and ready for my guests. There were two young hostesses in place and they did a great job seeing that everyone was happy with a drink and piece of cake. The birthday cake not only looked good, but it tasted good and was as light as a feather - my compliments to the cook. Many friends have told me how much they enjoyed the afternoon. Thank you for making it possible. M.Edwards

Retreat stay - Sept
Can I say a very big THANK YOU to all members of staff for the care/welcome they have given Dennis and myself since moving to Richmond on 19th August. It has been a very stressful time for us, but the help we have received from staff ie maintenance, laundry, restaurant has been amazing. So too of course, has been the help from Reception, Claire, Valerie and all the other people I have forgotten to mention. We have just about finished unpacking and look forward to joining in events in the Village and meeting more residents. I know we have made the right move; it will just take time to settle in and enjoy our new way of live

Hi Claire, I just wanted to say thank you for all your help with the Alzheimer's event on Tuesday. All went smoothly and we were very grateful for the loan of the room, and all the lovely afternoon tea goodies. All our volunteers had a lovely afternoon. Many thanks to Richmond Village again for helping to make it such a success.
Alzheimers Volunteers Event
I must place on record my very grateful thanks to all the staff at Richmond Village for all the kindness and help I have received since my unfortunate accident. I have also been overwhelmed by the number of cards and messages wishing me well which arrived from friends and neighbours in the village. Thank you, too, for the lovely flowers which lasted a long time and gave me a great deal of pleasure. I now know for certain that I made the right decision to move into Richmond Northampton. Thank you everybody. Mary
A resident that lives at Richmond Northampton
We were very impressed by our stay at Richmond Northampton – to the point where we are tempted to try and become elderly! We were visiting, but learned a lot and would certainly consider entering Richmond at a later stage and have taken literature. Particularly impressive were the activities for residents.

Dear Claire, I would like to thank you and Paul for a very inspiring visit to Richmond on Friday and ask you to pass on my thanks and very best wishes on to the members of a wonderful community, I shall also look forward to calling by sometime in the future to see how the garden is coming along. Cllr Johnnie Amos - Radio Northampton Gardening presenter.
Opening of the Sensory Garden
I should like to thank everyone who gave me such huge support and encouragement before/during and after my move from 35 Marlow to 14 Village Centre, recently. Thank you for your good wishes and cards, kind messages and physical help which ironed out so many of the little creases which are bound to occur, in spite of careful planning ahead. This applies particularly to Richmond Staff in all departments, who have been wonderfully helpful "beyond the call of duty". I already feel quite at home in my new home, and enjoying the extra T.L.C which being in an ALU provides. Thank You All GB
Move from Independant to Assisted Living
I would like to put on record a very big "Thank You" to all those who helped to organise the 96th Birthday Party for Denis on April 27th. Everything was perfect - plenty of very nice food and drink for everyone. The guests were all very impressed with the party and also Richmond! Jennie needs special commendation as well, as she was so helpful and a great hostess. Many Thanks LS

I had a wonderful two weeks as a “Retreat” and am very grateful for the care and kindness I received. I am looking forward to another visit and I hope I can arrange this for- hopefully – better weather, than I shall be able to enjoy your gardens. B.H.Bower
Dear Chris Because we all think you're the best, and we should know, because we are the people who know you best, and we see how many extra "miles" you go, everyday. For all those extra miles THANK YOU from all the Residents at Richmond Northampton

“Feeling almost overwhelmed with the responsibility of matching my elderly parents’ requirements to appropriate accommodation needs, I called, unannounced, one Sunday morning to be met by Claire Fry who gave me a totally comprehensive tour of the wonderful facilities at Richmond Northampton. Nothing was too much trouble and my immediate impression was one of professionalism, care and real interest in the work. There was a marvellous atmosphere as I went round and smiling faces from staff and residents alike. All the staff with whom I have had contact hold the needs of this village community as paramount and my dealings with them have helped me considerably to come to terms with, and manage, the considerable change involved in a move into Assisted Living so late in life for my parents. Mr D Beckett
We were amazed at what a lovely place Richmond Village Northampton is. Everyone here is so friendly, kind and helpful. Our stay was so relaxing, we were looked after extremely well and our stress levels quickly diminished. The staff are lovely and we cannot fault any of them. We were so thrilled that we decided to sell our house and buy one of Richmond’s lovely apartments. There are other lounges available in which to relax or entertain friends, plus a library coffee shop and hairdressing salon. The spacious restaurant serves three good meals with several choices of menu every day and the spacious gardens are a delight. We both made friends with other residents from day one. There are games, hobbies, music, cards and entertainment to suit all tastes and we are truly happy with our decision to move. We are delighted with the care we have received from local doctors, dentists and hospital specialists. Above all our two daughters are happy that we are in safe hands and within easy reach of them by ear. Mr & Mrs Smethurst
Dear Sharon and all staff in the restaurant, Thank you for having me in the restaurant at Richmond Village for the past few months, in order to complete the volunteering section of my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award. I have gained valuable experience working in a small restaurant environment and have also enjoyed interacting with the residents in the restaurant, learning their little ways and chatting to them. My time at Richmond has given me a different outlook into the lives of the older generation. Special thanks to Jenny for completing the comment section in my book and also to Tracy who I worked with a lot during my time in the restaurant. Best Wishes Zoe

Our family would like to thank you and your staff for helping to make Mum and Dads Diamond wedding anniversary party such a success. The room was perfect and hotel services did a fantastic job. It is a great comfort to us that Dad is being nursed with care, compassion and professionalism. His stroke has had a devastating affect on us all but we feel lucky to have found a home where he is so happy. Yours JR

We recently moved from another Richmond village to Richmond Northampton and have found the staff and Residents to be friendly, approachable and always here for us. The restaurant is first class as are all the other departments within the village. We are continually amazed at how dedicated the staff is to us and other Residents and nothing we ask for is ever too much. Thank you for welcoming us to our new home. Mr/s A
To everyone at Richmond Northampton. Thank you so much for the Hospitality, Friendliness & Caring shown to my sister when she moved in recently. I leave knowing that she is in good hands and good company. Once again thank you. T.H
