My father became a resident in the care home after 4 happy years in the assisted living unit. He became increasingly unwell and following a stay in hospital he needed more care than could be given to him in the assisted living unit. The staff in the care home treated him with respect and dignity. In common with the staff of the assisted living unit they had endless patience and compassion and he seemed to relax and thrive under their care. Food was provided to suit his needs, it was plentiful and of good quality. He was encouraged to eat and drink frequently, treated as an individual and provided with soft foods as he had increasing difficulty swallowing. When it became evident that his condition was terminal the nursing staff did everything that they could to support us, his family as well as him, making his last days as comfortable as they possibly could. The surroundings at Richmond Care Home, as in the rest of the village, are very comfortable, clean and relaxed.

My uncle lived in the retirement village from July 2015. He became ill and required more care so moved into Richmond Village Care home. The care was simply wonderful. The staff were excellent from beginning to end and still care. So caring and professional, fulfilling his every wish and supporting and caring for the family too. Nothing was too much trouble and could not have been better in any way. An incredible place filled with excellent care until the end of my uncles life in February 2016.

After three years in an Assisted Living apartment my father was hospitalised and my mother needed a higher level of care and moved into The Meadows specialist facility. When my father was discharged from hospital he was moved onto the Care Floor as well. I cannot speak highly enough of the level and quality of care and the total focus on resident needs which is absolutely first class. Father passed away after six weeks and my mother has enjoyed a level of attention which, although rarely seen, is always in evidence at Richmond Northampton. Particularly, communication is excellent and as well as being totally confident her care needs are being met, I am always kept up to date on any issues by the staff. Visits are a pleasure and the cheerful, easy going, albeit totally professional, approach is always evident from every member of staff. In my opinion, there could be nowhere better for my mother to live.

A really lovely place, level of care was great and the staff are very caring. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Richmond to anyone. The rooms are tastefully decorated. My mother-in-law was very there.

My wife and I, who are both in our late eighties and are both disabled felt in need of help with our daily lives, plus friendship, social activities and occasional medical assistance. We have thankfully discovered that Richmond has greatly improved the quality of our declining years and can recommend it to others in a similar situation to ourselves.

My husband (wh0 has dementia) and I spent a week here. The food and restaurant service was 5*. The staff in general were friendly, helpful and efficient, 1st class. The service bus into town was outside the front gate, very good service! We shall return for another break, very soon, I hope.

I cannot praise Richmond highly enough, from the moment I went to look around I instantly felt a warm and caring environment with a genuine focus on the individual. Since moving my father to Richmond all expectations have been met and even exceeded in many areas.

When ever I visit Richmond I always receive a warm welcome, there is always a happy atmosphere. I visited on Saturday for the Spring Fayre and thoroughly enjoyed the day, there was plenty to see and do. My friend really enjoyed the live Jazz band that played in the restaurant in the afternoon.

I have visited Richmond many times and found everything so clean and well organised, it also has the feeling of being a very friendly and happy place, I have also joined in on many activities and days out which are always good fun for the residents and are very well run by the wonderful staff they have.

Always a joy to drop by Richmond Village. Friendly, welcoming, meticulously clean and extremely well-run. The entertainment they lay on for the residents is also very good too. Other facilities could learn a lot from Richmond!
