Each village has its own event organiser and a varied program of events and
activities to suit all interests. Please see below for news of all our events

Every Saturday morning at 10:30am in the Function Room we have an active Table Tennis group.
Everyone is more than welcome to come along and play, most games are played one to one but some double games are also taking place.

Residents choose a track which we find on an application called Spotify and play via an IPad with a Blue tooth speaker/PA system. There are lists and CD’s for residents to look through whilst listening to a piece of music.
With modern technology we can listen to any piece of musical request, so come along and join us!
We have a variety of social groups that meet at Richmond Northampton and today we have our Gin & Tonic social evening followed by entertainment.
Entertainment this evening is with piano duet "Four by Two" four hands on one piano from 7pm in the Restaurant.
Please join us from 6pm onwards at the restaurant Bar
We have many groups and activity sessions and today we have a group called “Crossword Hour ”
The group will meet weekly and today’s session will be in the Coffee shop with Tea & coffee provided.
Every year Richmond Northampton are the local drop off point for the "Samaritans Operation Christmas Child Appeal".
Residents and staff will try and fill many boxes themed for either a Girl or Boy and an appropriate age sticker for the inside contents is displayed along with £2 for the postage of the box.
The box can contain many different items from sweets, toys and education items. Boxes must be wrapped in Christmas Paper.

We start collecting completed Shoe boxes from July 2017 until 29th September 2017.
Richmond Northampton have a monthly Morning Song Group.
Starting at 11am in the Restaurant playing a range of songs to sing-a-long with.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
At Northampton we hold a regular Tea Dance every 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month.
Professional Dance tutors John and Sharon Brookes are available to teach and dance with anyone without a partner. The activity is well attended but we are always on the look out for more male dance partners for our ladies.
Tea & Coffee is available at 15:30pm and costs just £2.50 per person to attend.

At Northampton we computer sessions on how to use a PC, Tablet, Kindle or IPad.
Most of our residents now have either a Tablet or Ipad as they are so easy to use and have the added benefit of not taking up much space compared to traditional computers.
Sessions are held Monthly and residents have the choice of attending both group sessions or one to one sessions.
this months session will be 1-2-1 tution so please book with Chris, Head of Activities on Ext635
Richmond Northampton hold a regular Quiz Night on the second Wednesday of every month.
Starting at 5.00pm for pre- quiz drinks at the village restaurant bar.
Quiz Starting at 5:30pm with six rounds of general knowledge questions.
Hot Buffet served at 7pm.
Richmond Northampton are starting a new Craft Group and this week we will be learning how to "Swedish Weave."
Swedish Weave is an American craft done on Monks Cloth and Double Knit Yarn used to design patterns on the basket weave cloth.
Christopher Rayatt our Social & Recreational Therapist will be on hand to show the art of Swedish Weaving.
Richmond Northampton today will be gathering for a Cocktails & Jazz Night.
The residents, family and staff will be invited to join the Cocktail evening which starts at 6.00pm in the Restaurant. A full menu of cocktails will be available on the night at very competitive prices
Entertainment starts at 7.00pm with a local Jazz entertainers 24ct Gold
Tea Dance is held fortnightly in the restaurant with professional dance tutors John and Sharon Brookes.
Residents thoroughly enjoy the dances and have improved on their moves tremendously since starting in June 2011.We have many ladies that attend but are always in need of more male dance partners, so please come along!
Tea, Coffee and Cake served at 3:30pm for only £2.50 per person.

Our monthly quiz night this month is starting at 5:30pm for pre quiz drinks at the bar. The Quiz Master for the evening will be our very own Head of Activities "Chris" who assure us there will be no cheating from the staff table.

Richmond Northampton is once again in for a treat as the "Homestead Singers" return to entertain us.
Starting at 2:30pm in the restaurant our residents will be in great delight as the twenty voices of the local male voice choir sing for them.
The Homestead Singers are a charity based organisation who are always welcomed by our residents because of the passion and energy they put into their performances.
This is not to be missed!

Richmond Northampton is collecting for the Northamptonshire Food Bank this Harvest Festival.
On Sunday 24th September is our annual Harvest Festival and we are collecting for the local food bank which are always in desperate need for supplies coming in to the autumn and as the cold sets in more families are in need, the food bank also helps with food for the homeless.
Food items should be dried tinned or have a long shelf life.
Please give all food items to Reception by Sunday 24th September 2017.
Richmond Northampton is to host the annual "MacMillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning"
The coffee morning will start at 10:30am with cakes, danish pastries and croissants, all available for a donation.
We will also have our usual bring and buy sale in the Craft Room.

We know you may be thinking it’s too early to think about Christmas but with December now only a few weeks away our first rehearsal of the Richmond Northampton Choir is today!
Meeting in the Red Lounge at 4pm to decide which o f the popular songs & Carols to learn and set aside rehearsal times as well deciding on performance dates during December.
Join us as we celebrate Oktoberfest!
We have beer tasting & pub games in the Woodlands Lounge from 11am onwards
Oktberfest themed lunch from 12:15pm in our Restaurant

Christmas Cake, make and bake at Richmond Northampton is always a very popular activity.
Every year we have a make and bake session in the craft room usually starting at 2:30pm. Residents bring their own cookery tins but Christopher Rayatt-Howard provides all ingredients including mixed fruit which has been soaking in sherry since March this year.
The afternoon is usually finished with either Tea, Coffee or a cheeky glass of Mulled Wine or Sherry just to get us in the Christmas mood.
