Assisted Living - I promised mum she wouldn't go into a care home.
For more than ten years now, Richmond Villages has pioneered Assisted Living (also known as extra care). During that time, the prospect of a lonely bedroom in a conventional care home has become a thing of the past for many. Residents of our serviced apartments may rely on varying degrees of domiciliary care, but they also have their own front door, their own living room, their own galley kitchen, plus bedroom and luxury en-suite shower room. It's a real home from home, in a thriving community, set within beautiful gardens and with it comes greater privacy and greater independence. When you consider just how flexible we can be with our care packages you begin to see why our serviced apartments are such a desirable and modern alternative.
We'd be the first to agree that moving out of the family home is not easy decision to make. It is one that is fraught with guilt and anxiety for parents and children alike. But a new start in a caring, stimulating environment can offset many of the negative emotions associated with such a move and many Richmond residents often comment that they wish they'd made the move earlier.
What Assisted living in a Serviced Apartment gives you:
- All meals and drinks served in your own home or in the restaurant
- Cleaning, laundry service, heating and lighting within service package
- Security, including 24 hour emergency call system to on-site carers
- Bespoke personal care packages and friendly on-site carers
- A thriving, friendly community made up of like-minded people
- Use of all facilities and activities
- The privacy of your own apartment in which to entertain guests, enjoy your own furnishings, yet still benefit from all the facilities the village offers
We offer many different care packages, but we believe our extra care/assisted living package is the most comprehensive. The Richmond Village standard of excellence is well known to our residents and families and they expect the very best service at all times. We believe that we should encourage you to do as much for yourself as you can safely manage. By talking through your needs and understanding your wishes, we can provide you with the service that you need and does everything possible to enable the lifestyle you would like to have.
