Village Apartments
Our Village Apartments offer stylish, independent living for the elderly and independent living with care. They are designed to make life as easy and enjoyable as possible and offer the very best in retirement accommodation. They comprise a sitting room, galley kitchen, one or two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one en-suite to master bedroom) and high quality fixtures and fittings. Apartments are available to purchase or rent. Whilst they all have easy access they are ideally suited to the more physically able or a couple where one partner may need some assistance with mobility or personal care.
Every detail of the design has the end user very much in mind. Apartments feature non-slip bathroom floors and showers are flush with the floor for easy access. In the kitchen, everything is positioned for optimum ease.
The interior design team works meticulously to create elegant and restful colour schemes which at Richmond Northampton are in harmony with the New England style exteriors. New buyers can choose from a package of four different design schemes for upholstery and curtains or mix and match them as they please.
Should anyone not wish not to bring their own furniture, there is an excellent choice of flexible furniture packages to choose from. The furniture is stylish, high quality and British made. Again, we've taken into account your ease and comfort. Armchair seats are just a little higher than normal whilst rounded corners are favoured over sharp ones on pieces like dining and coffee tables. Whatever the style, there is that indefinable quality which each apartment has. It gives a feeling that this is a place many people would be very happy to call home.
All Village Apartments also benefit from an emergency call system that will be responded to 24 hours a day by the domiciliary care agency.

Service Charge
Everybody living in a Village Apartment contributes to a Service Charge which covers the cost of the following services:
- External maintenance, window cleaning and buildings insurance.
- Heating, lighting, use and maintenance of village centre, all communal areas and facilities.
- Garden and grounds maintenance for communal areas including external lighting and upkeep of private roads.
- CCTV and 24 Hour Staff presence in Village Centre. Door entry control systems, Emergency Call Systems to all properties and smoke alarms.
- On site manned 24 hour domiciliary care agency monitoring. Response and maintenance to emergency alarm units. Counselling and emotional support. Triage Service providing support and liaison with appropriate medical professionals and or agencies. Medication services which may include ordering, collection and supervised distribution. Provision of assisted bathing facilities. Handyman service.
- Dedicated staff who coordinate, facilitate and organise social activities and events.
- Full time driver and use of the Village transport vehicles for scheduled shopping trips activities and outings.
- Transport to hospital / doctor appointments subject to availability and booking.
- Dedicated customer services staff providing: Reception and booking services, resident access to on-site services (e.g. care) and general administration.

Wherever you live, we know that you can employ a domiciliary care agency to assist you in your own home. If you do so, the chances are, you'll get a different person everyday and the service could be unreliable. That's why Richmond Northampton is proud to have its very own on-site Domiciliary Care Agency Registered with CSCI (Commission for Social Care Inspectorate). Our Carers offer support and help to those living in Village and Serviced Apartments by providing individual care as and when required, or as part of a pre-determined package to meet your precise needs.
Our Domiciliary Care Agency provides a flexible, friendly service where all personal needs including washing, help with dressing and all the help you'd normally receive in a residential care home is delivered to you by on-site staff. Because of our high staff retention, you will always get the same carers and be able to get to know them properly.
