Debbie's role as Hospitality Manager means that she is responsible for ordering and maintaining stock levels for the restaurant and also for the hostess services to the Assisted Living Apartments. She has to ensure that rota ensures enough staff to run both the kitchen and the hostess service in the restaurant and assisted living.
She maintains overall responsibility for health and safety and food hygiene procedures and ensuring that staff follow these at all times.
She liaises with the chef team to produce the menus and update and plan for these on a regular basis.
Joanne's role as Administrator is very varied. She is responsible for the day to day running of the Reception area and Administration office. On the Reception side this involves ensuring that our Residents get the best possible Customer Service and that we exceed their expectations wherever possible - going that extra mile to ensure that they feel cared for and that they can rely on us as a team to help them with their needs. Alongside this we provide support to various other departments within the building where possible.
As far as the Administration side of it goes, this is quite in depth overall but includes things such as ensuring that the Administration office runs smoothly and efficiently, making sure that all deadlines are met relating to the accounts and payroll and that all resident and staff queries are answered within an acceptable time frame, whilst providing regular updates and financial information to both the Village Manager and Head Office for the monthly reporting. All information and contracts held on file for staff and residents must be kept up to date.
Senior Village Adviser
I have been at Richmond Village Nantwich for many years now, having started as a part-time Receptionist. During this time, I have gained the insight and knowledge to help me in my role as Senior Village Adviser. My father was also a Resident in our Care Home allowing me to appreciate and empathise with the feelings that people experience when moving into a Retirement Village or Care Home.
My days are interesting and varied; I am , as my title suggests, an Adviser and I am here to help potential clients (and their friends and relatives) in deciding the best type of accomodation and care to suit their individual needs and requirements. Sometimes this can take quite a long time and I am happy to meet with people as many times as necessary to ensure that they are happy with any decision they make; often this also involves dealing with Solicitors, Estate Agents or Health Officials to make the move as stress free as possible.
I also liaise with my colleagues to ensure that the Village is well presented at all times; we are an excellent team and all work together to provide the highest level of service. It is testament to this that we have won many awards and recommendations over the years. I am especially proud that we have an excellent reputation and are frequently recommended to others in search of the best care and facilities in the North West.
From writing articles for local media and organising charity events, to being the presenter of a weekly radio show "Richmond Radio", I am also responsible for promoting the Village and its many services to our local community and beyond. This is a challenging and exciting part of my role and can only succeed with persistance and a good sense of humour!
Please contact me if you would like any information about Richmond Nantwich; I look forward to hearing from you!
As Maintenance Manager John's day varies from unblocking a drain, to making arrangements for long term maintenance to changing lightbulbs.
He is responsible for a small team of staff, but also for any external labour that may come on to site, to ensure that they follow health and safety procedures and maintain a high standard of work
Jonathan is Head Gardener at Richmond Nantwich, it is his responsibility to ensure that the gardens are well maintained and look stunning at all times. He decides what should be planted in which areas, arranges deliveries of gardening supplies and carries out lawn maintenance.
Richmond Nantwich has award winning gardens and was recently a finalist in both the Nantwich in Bloom and the North West in Bloom competitions.
My role as a Village Adviser is an interesting and varied one involving meeting prospective clients and often their relatives as they make the decision to move into our retirement village.
With 53 Apartments, 19 Assisted Living Suites and a 41 bed Care Home it is important to ensure that I help them to choose the right option and level of care (if any) that they require. Our facilities are beautiful, with 4 1/2 acres of landscaped gardens and even a woodland as our surroundings.
I also help to organise events both in and out of the Village, including charity balls, fayres and exhibitions.
Please contact me if you woudl like any further information on the Village or the facilities that we can offer.
