The Village Manager is responsible for all aspects of day to day life at the village. She spends time dealing with issues raised by residents, potential residents and staff. Provides support to all the Heads of Department in their roles and help out as and when needed. She is also responsible for maintaining a set budget, future planning for the village, management reporting, etc.

Lynne also spends time networking and promoting the village

Hilary is the Care Manager for the residential care home within the Nantwich Village and has to adhere to the care standards requirements of the care home thus maintaining the care rating given to us by CQC after our inspection report. Her role includes the supervision of all staff and maintaining their morale, including having regular staff meetings to ensure good healthy working relationships within the home.

Hilary organises all admissions and discharges from the care home. It is important to ensure that the care delivered to the clients is always of the highest standards at all times, and delivered safely and with dignity. She maintains communication with multi-disciplinary teams regarding care, writes and maintains individual pre-assessments, care plans and risk assessments. As Village Adviser at Richmond Nantwich, Alison's main responsibilities are to advise on properties and care bed services within the village. This includes ensuring the village is well presented at all times, liaising with prospective clients regarding the sale and purchase of properties, the availability of care beds within the care centre. Liaising with solicitors and estate agents, showing clients around the village and discussing their needs. Alison also promotes the village and attends networking events, writes press releases and assists in the organisation and promotion of events at the village.

Joanne Lester

Joanne's role as Administrator is very varied. She is responsible for the day to day running of the Reception area and Administration office. On the Reception side this involves ensuring that our Residents get the best possible Customer Service and that we exceed their expectations wherever possible - going that extra mile to ensure that they feel cared for and that they can rely on us as a team to help them with their needs. Alongside this we provide support to various other departments within the building where possible.

As far as the Administration side of it goes, this is quite in depth overall but includes things such as ensuring that the Administration office runs smoothly and efficiently, making sure that all deadlines are met relating to the accounts and payroll and that all resident and staff queries are answered within an acceptable time frame, whilst providing regular updates and financial information to both the Village Manager and Head Office for the monthly reporting. All information and contracts held on file for staff and residents must be kept up to date.

Debbie Mercandelli

Hospitality Manager

Debbie's role as Hospitality Manager means that she is responsible for ordering and maintaining stock levels for the restaurant and also for the hostess services to the Assisted Living Apartments. She has to ensure that rota ensures enough staff to run both the kitchen and the hostess service in the restaurant and assisted living.

She maintains overall responsibility for health and safety and food hygiene procedures and ensuring that staff follow these at all times.

She liaises with the chef team to produce the menus and update and plan for these on a regular basis.

Maxine Thorpe

Maxine's job is to organise and provide a varied programme of activity for Richmond Nantwich. On a day-to-day basis this includes speaking to residents, relatives, friends of residents and staff, to ensure full knowledge of the residents likes, dislikes, interests and abilities. She delivers activity sessions within the village and explores the most appropriate methods and resources for meeting activity needs including group events, individual sessions, involving internal and external resources and community based resources. She produces a weekly leaflet and a monthly newsletter to promote the planned programme and encourage involvement. Each month she also organises a themed supper club and events based on local holidays and traditions. She also participates in fund-raising events for Nantwich's “Charity of the Year”.

Maxine also arranges and plays an active role in the Richmond Nantwich annual pantomime and music festival

John Mercandelli

Maintenance Manager

As Maintenance Manager John's day varies from unblocking a drain, to making arrangements for long term maintenance to changing lightbulbs.

He is responsible for a small team of staff, but also for any external labour that may come on to site, to ensure that they follow health and safety procedures and maintain a high standard of work

Jonathan Basford

Head Gardener

Jonathan is Head Gardener at Richmond Nantwich, it is his responsibility to ensure that the gardens are well maintained and look stunning at all times. He decides what should be planted in which areas, arranges deliveries of gardening supplies and carries out lawn maintenance.

Richmond Nantwich has award winning gardens and was recently a finalist in the 2011 Barchester in Bloom competition.
