We answered a Richmond Retreats ad in The Oldie and came with no expectations. We have been very impressed by the combination of efficiency and kindness. We liked the décor, especially the furniture. The food was good and splendidly varied and I particularly appreciated the physio. We may well come again - perhaps move in.

Dear Mark Just to say thank you so much for showing me and my friend around the Village apartments and the whole complex. We were both very impressed with the facilities offered, the layout, setting, the spaciousness of the apartments and not least the cleanliness and friendliness of everyone. Nobody moving into the Village could complain about loneliness or not having anything to do. Everything seems to have been thought about even to the varied activities. You spent so much time with us Mark and were so informative so that when we left we did not have any questions unanswered. Thank you so much. We had lunch at the café and looked around the shop, then drove through the village. What a lovely place with all those beautiful ‘chocolate box’ thatched roofed cottages. Dear Lis We would like to say a huge “thank you” to all the chefs, kitchen staff and restaurant staff who made our Christmas Day such a happy one. I thought the meal was splendid. You had taken on board all the comments made at that tea-time discussion, and it showed. I am a sprout lover and they were superb - fresh, green, not over-cooked, well done! The roast potatoes were great too. The service was very professional too, especially when you consider the numbers involved. I also thought the way you had set out the tables made the room look most attractive and inviting. I think your whole Christmas programme showed you really were trying to give people what they had asked for, and I am sure this will be appreciated. I think the success of the Silver Band, Carols and bell ringing show that musical entertainment does bring all the different groups in our community together and I hope more musical events can be put on throughout the year. All in all, we feel that most people will have nice things to say about the second Christmas at Letcombe. No one could dispute that the staff have been truly amazing in doing their very best to make it a success. THANK YOU ALL Wishing you all the very best for 2012.
