96-year-old Lavinia Gwynne-Brown wowed everyone on the catwalk at this year’s Richmond Letcombe Regis Fashion show. Lavinia wasn’t alone and was joined by other models showing
off the latest styles from Ruby Pepper and the Friendtex Danish designer clothes.
“I’ve always kept fit through lots of exercise, horse riding and having been a keen gymnast
since being a teenager. I was a fitness instructor most of my life, so the catwalk was no trouble for me,” said Lavinia.
This multi-generational event showed the audience how everyone can have a sense for fashion regardless of age.
“I think wearing colour is so important and bringing style into your wardrobe can make
you feel so good about yourself,” said Gina Bennett, owner of Ruby Pepper in Goring-on-Thames.
The show was so successful that Richmond Village is now thinking about adding more fashion
shows to its schedule of events.
“It’s great to have a fashion show that welcomes all ages, sizes and styles,” says Lizzie Philpott Head of Events at Richmond Letcombe Regis. “Fashion is only seen as something that young people are interested in, but you can see from this show that that is far from the case.”
