We all need a break...
WOULDN’T IT BE NICE TO FIND A HOLIDAY LOCATION FREE OF STRESS, AND ABLE TO PROVIDE THAT LITTLE BIT OF EXTRA SUPPORT NEEDED?
Sometimes the prospect of a holiday at a conventional hotel just isn’t quite suitable. The difference with Richmond Retreats is the reassurance that we have a care team on site 24 hours a day who can provide bespoke care packages by prior arrangement.
To find out more about our site in Warwickshire, please call them on 024 76645544.
Hedgehogs are every gardener’s friend, as they eat snails, slugs and insects... all helping to keep the gardens at Bede Village looking beautiful throughout the year!
Hedgehogs usually hibernate between November and mid March and animals must have enough fat reserves to survive hibernation.
If you'd like to help feed our friendly little chums, please follow these basic food guidelines:
Food and fresh water will encourage hedgehogs to return. Leave out foods like minced meat, tinned dog or cat food (not fish-based), crushed cat biscuits, or chopped boiled eggs. Specialist hedgehog food can also be bought from wild bird food suppliers. Never feed hedgehogs milk as it can cause diarrhoea; instead provide plain, fresh water in a shallow bowl.
On Friday 16th June, 11.00am - 3.30pm, Richmond Bede Village will be opening it's doors to the public as part of the National Care Home Open Day. The theme this year is 'Friendship.'
The idea behind the day is to encourage local people to visit care homes in their community and to work together to develop better relationships.
This important connection is something that Richmond Bede Village has nurtured since opening in 1992 and the home is already acting as a community hub, including holding quiz nights and entertainment nights, regular coffee morning and fetes.
As part of the Care Home Open Day 2017, Richmond Bede Village will have various visitors and entertainment throughout the day; visitors can get an idea of what living in a Care Home is really like!
