Respite Care and Short Breaks
Everyone deserves time out. Whether you care for a relative, are a professional carer, or are in need of permanent care yourself, taking a break from your usual routine can do wonders for you.
As a carer you can relax, knowing that your relative, friend or patient is in a safe, welcoming environment with first-class care tailored to their needs. A respite stay at Richmond Northampton gives many people the opportunity to experience excellent service among friendly and welcoming staff and residents.
Respite stays are always short-term. Having said that, the relationships they build between the village and resident give great reassurance to all concerned, especially if a longer stay ever becomes necessary.
Respite care is also ideal for those who are well enough to leave hospital but not yet well enough to return home. We offer respite care within our Assisted Living Apartments or within our Care Home if you require nursing care.
The right location, the right accommodation
Richmond Northampton is located in Grange Park, Northampton, close to many local facilities. It is an ideal destination for respite breaks or a short stay while a permanent carer is on holiday. As well as en-suite rooms within the Care Home, we also have Assisted Living Apartments set aside for respite stays.
These lovely one-bedroom apartments include en-suite bedroom, sitting room and kitchenette. Many of our residents also arrange a trial stay as a temporary resident to see if the Village is the right choice for them as their new permanent home.
Meeting individual needs
Our aim is to provide seamless continuity of care and our well trained staff work hard to ensure that everyone's personal desires and preferences are respected.
Prior to admission, a senior member of the care team will arrange to meet you either in the convenience of your own home or at the village. They will take the opportunity to get to know you and your personal preferences, assess your care needs and ensure that a tailored plan of care is produced prior to your arrival.

Payment is usually required in advance or at the start of the stay.
