FINAL PHASE OF CONSTRUCTION AT RV WITNEY ANNOUNCED

5th September 2015

FINAL PHASE OF CONSTRUCTION AT RV WITNEY ANNOUNCED
  • Open day launch - Saturday 5 September (10am - 4pm)
  • Venue: The Four Pillars Hotel, Ducklington Lane, Witney, OX28 4EX
  • Final phase of 46 two-bedroom, and three one-bedroom apartments to be built
  • Spacious living accommodation of up to 1,500 sq ft
  • Village centre facilities include wellness spa, pool & gym, quality restaurant, a library, IT room and terrace café
  • Prices from £335,000 - £645,000

Construction of the new Richmond Witney retirement village is progressing so well that having sold almost all of the Village Apartments within the initial phase, the decision has been taken to start with the final phase of building ahead of schedule.

To be held on Saturday 5 September (10am- 4pm) at The Four Pillars Hotel, Ducklington Lane, Witney, the open day launch event is designed to provide information to those who might be considering moving to a retirement village.

There is a wide choice of properties available, with the average 2-bedroom property providing some 1,000 sq ft of living space, up to a very generous 1,500 sq ft.  Many are privately located, south facing with views over the wild grass meadow, and with easy access to the spa and other central facilities.

Apartments are well appointed and include a spacious kitchen, living room, one or two bedrooms and en suite bathrooms.  They are finished to a very high standard, with kitchens featuring granite work tops and Bosch and Neff white goods, and separate laundry cupboards to avoid using precious space in the kitchen.

The new £30 million Richmond Witney includes all the facilities that have made the other Richmond villages so popular, including a wellness spa with swimming pool and gym, hair and beauty salon, a library, IT room, terrace café, quality restaurant and garden bar, and all set within beautifully landscaped grounds with a bowling green and nature reserve beyond.

“These properties are ideal for those thinking about living independently and want their own front door, yet like the idea of being in a safe and sociable community with care and assistance close at hand if required.  We listened carefully to what our clients wanted which included having a large living space and up to two large bedrooms, especially important if someone is downsizing,” said Paddy Brice, managing director of Richmond Villages.

“We are delighted to be able to press ahead with the final phase so soon, and underlines the strong demand for quality retirement living we provide.”

Richmond Villages also offers its own domiciliary care team who are on-site 24 hours a day to provide tailored care to residents, while a care home at the heart of the village provides the reassurance of 24 hour nursing and dementia care.

Prices for these new apartments range between £335,000 for a generous sized (728 sq ft) one bedroom apartment to £645,000 for one of the largest (1,500 sq ft) two bedroom apartments, and compare well against the average size of a three or four bedroom new-build detached home.

For further information please call the Village Advisers on 01993 768557 or call into the Marketing Suite along the High Street, Witney.

SALES SUCCESS AT RICHMOND WITNEY AS 21 PROPERTIES RESERVED IN ONE DAY!

11th September 2015

SALES SUCCESS AT RICHMOND WITNEY AS 21 PROPERTIES RESERVED IN ONE DAY!

At a launch event held this week to release the final phase of 49 properties at the new Richmond Witney retirement village in Oxfordshire, the company was astonished to find a queue of people ready to place a deposit to secure their chosen property, even before it had opened.

By the end of the day, 21 of the 49 one and two-bedroom apartments scheduled for completion by autumn next year had been reserved off-plan.

“We knew there was a keen level of interest,” said Paddy Brice, managing director of Richmond Villages, “but we were completely taken aback by the number of people, and their enthusiasm to secure a property there and then.

“Sales of the initial phase had been progressing so well that having sold almost all of the Village apartments, we took the decision to press ahead with the final phase of 49 properties.

“I think this undoubtedly demonstrates the strong demand for high quality apartments, combined with the retirement lifestyle we can offer with good central facilities and support in the background for when it might be needed.”

The village offers a wide choice of properties available, with the average 2-bedroom property providing some 1,000 sq ft of living space, up to a very generous 1,500 sq ft.  Many are
privately located, south facing with views over the wild grass meadow, and with easy access to the spa and other central facilities.

“These properties are ideal for those thinking about living independently and want their own front door, yet like the idea of being in a safe and sociable community with support and assistance close at hand if required.  We listened carefully to what our clients wanted which included having a large living space and up to two large bedrooms, especially important if someone is downsizing,” added Paddy Brice.

Richmond Villages also offers its own domiciliary care team who are on-site 24 hours a day to provide tailored support packages to residents, while a care home at the heart of the village provides the reassurance of 24 hour nursing and dementia care.

Prices for these new apartments range between £335,000 for a generous sized (728 sq ft) one bedroom apartment to £645,000 for one of the largest (1,500 sq ft) two bedroom apartments, and compare well against the average size of a three or four bedroom new-build detached home.

The new Richmond Witney village is located at Curbridge Road, Witney, Oxfordshire, OX29 7NR, and is within close proximity of the town centre.

ARCO Wellbeing Fitness Challenge

21st September 2015

ARCO Wellbeing Fitness Challenge

“Richmond Village in Painswick set themselves the challenge of getting from Lands End to John O Groats in just one week using both the equipment in their Wellness Spa  gym and a Cross Trainer in the Reception Area. The challenge was part of an initiative set by ARCO, to encourage a wider participation in exercise by the older populations.

The Challenge was extremely adventurous with other retirement villages choosing to attempt the distance over a month period rather than a week. Over the week period residents, members, staff and even local MP Neil Carmichael hit the gym in an attempt to reach the 1060km target! Unfortunately 7 days proved slightly too ambitious even for the “gym bunny” residents who knocked up an impressive 865km, getting them well into Scotland..

Although not achieving their final target the challenge proved a huge success, showing that age really is no barrier when it comes to exercise!!!”
