Bede Retirement Village opened its door to the neighbours recently and asked them to come along to a charity fete.
Richmond Bede Village, situated in Hospital Lane, Bedworth held a fete in aid of Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice. The Bede Village Circle (a group of villagers at Bede Village) also have Zoë’s Place Hospice as their chosen charity and helped to raise money at the retirement village. The event was based in the Windsor Restaurant at the luxurious complex in Bedworth. As part of the day, to help raise money, they had various stalls, a raffle, and a tombolla!
Louise Smith, Activities Manager at Richmond Village said “Whilst we do primarily provide residential and care services for older people our residents do play an active part in the local community. We often invite the public to pop in and join us to help raise money for such worthy causes; we would like to thank everyone for their continued support”.
Richmond Village were able to present £250 to Jane McGaffney, Community Fundraiser at Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice. Presenting the cheque is Villager Pauline Ritchie, a member of the Bede Village Circle & Activities Manager Louise Smith.
