Indoor Bowls at Richmond Bede Village

2nd April 2015

Indoor Bowls at Richmond Bede Village

In collaboration with Age UK and the British Bowling Association, we have received a full set of indoor bowling equipment to borrow until May 2015. The mat is 30 feet long and comes with
barriers, bowls (including bowls for those with reduced mobility), and a wheelchair aid.

Malcolm & Brian from Stoke Bowling Club have kindly agreed to come and provide some training for us.

Sessions will start on Thursday 2nd April at 2.30pm in the Windsor Restaurant, and every Thursday following, throughout the month.

The mat and equipment will be available to use from 2.30pm and will be available Thursday evenings too, so you can come along and have a go at anytime to suit you.  Malcolm & Brian will only be here at 2.30pm though for any initial training required.

Please come along and join us... it’d be great to see how popular it is and whether it’s something we can continue to do in the future.  It’s also perfect practice for the summer too, when outdoor bowls starts!

For further information, please give us a call on 024 76645544.

We need a minimum of 190 blankets at 1 meter wide to cover the green and we have until June 2015 to do it.

Richmond Nantwich has gained the accolade of being named as one of the top twenty care homes in the area for the second year running according to the independent website carehome.co.uk.

The Awards are based on recommendations received from Residents, their friends and family  plus visiting professionals with marks being given for cleanliness, staff attitude, level of care and the food provided as a few examples.
