Murder & Mystery at Richmond Nantwich

23 October 2014

It was a night of intrigue and mystery recently at Richmond Village Nantwich when
Manager Lynne Griffin transformed into her alter-ego of Lady Lynne Richmond-Plum
to welcome guests from the famous game of “Cluedo” for dinner.

Miss Scarlett, Mrs Peacock, Captain Mustard and Madame Rose were joined by Residents
of the Village for dinner and as Mrs White and Wadsworth the Butler served up
the starter, a gunshot was heard followed by a blood-curdling scream of “murder”.

The evening continued and as more “clues” were revealed, it was Inspector Stuart and her
team who correctly named Mrs Peacock and the candlestick as the culprit and
weapon.

Lady Richmond-Plum remarked “We have all had a fantastic time, well apart from the
murder of course!” Captain Mustard, played convincingly by Sales and
Development Director Paul Jackson went on to add “What a spiffing evening.” This
was despite his fake moustache refusing to stay attached to his upper lip.

Thanks must go to Sian Walker-Hirst, Village Adviser and also member of The Nantwich
Players for writing the script. Watch out for news of the next Murder Mystery
night at Richmond Nantwich in aid of the Mayor of Nantwich, Chris Farrall’s
charities, which is due to be held in February next year.
