More akin to a luxury hotel

The trade magazine, Care Home Catering, recently visited Richmond Letcombe Regis and I guess you could say it wasn't what they were used to!  The journalist likened the village to a luxury hotel and was very complimentary about our Head of Hospitality, Paul Welch.  To read the whole article download the PDF below.

Village Open Day, Summer Fayre and Ceilidh!

5th July 2014

Village Open Day, Summer Fayre and Ceilidh!

Richmond Nantwich are delighted to be opening their doors for an
Open Day with a difference.

Saturday 5th July will be the Village's third Open Day and this
year there will be a distinct American theme throughout the whole event.

The day starts at 12pm and includes a chance to look around the
Village whilst enjoying the Annual Summer Fayre and Charity Balloon Race; which
this year is in aid of Cancer Research. The Fayre features stalls selling handmade
gifts, treats, food and jewellery plus a Punch & Judy show for the children
(or young at heart!). Plus CAT radio will be broadcasting live throughout the day.

The balloons will be released from The Bowling Green at 3.30pm
which is a spectacular sight; last year over 500 took to the skies with the
furthest being found in France!

Everyone will then have a chance to relax and refuel with a
delicious Hog Roast before the evening starts with a huge "Yee Hah"
as we host a Barn Dance with professional Ceilidh Band & Caller "The
Acme Band". Everyone is welcome, whether to join in or to watch! The whole
day is free, all you need to do is pay for food and any refreshments you may
have.

If you would like to come to the Open Day, or join us for a fantastic
evening at the Barn Dance, please contact either Nicola or Alison on 01270
629080.

Richmond Village Nantwich held its annual Summer Fayre
recently when over 450 balloons were released into the sky in aid of Cancer
Research. Craft and gift stalls donated a prize for the raffle which helped to
boost the total raised to nearly £1500. An evening of good food and
entertainment followed with guests, including Nantwich Town Mayor Christine
Farrall and her consort David, enjoying a hog roast before barn dancing with
The Acme Band and professional caller Norma.

Debbie Mercandelli, Hospitality Manager remarked “It has
been a busy, but thoroughly enjoyable day which we have all thoroughly
enjoyed.”

Nicola Tooke, Village Advisor added “We are thrilled at the
success of the day and also that both Cllr Farrall and guests from Crewe Senior
Forum came along to “Do-zi-Doh with their partners. We would like to say a huge
“Yee-hah!”

Richmond Bede Village raises money for Marie Curie Cancer Care

Last month, Richmond Village opened its door to the neighbours and asked them to come along to a charity tea party, in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The event was based within the Care Centre following a Willy Wonka theme. As part of the day, to help raise money for the worthy cause, they had a stilt walking entertainer, strawberry teas, and tombolla!

Louise Smith, Activities Manager at Richmond Village said “Whilst we do primarily provide residential and care services for older people our residents do play an active part in the local community. So we invited people of all ages to pop in and join us for what is after all a British tradition, afternoon tea. The afternoon was a great; we would like to thank everyone for their support”.

Yesterday, Richmond Village were able to present £250 to Lynn Wood from Marie Curie Cancer Care.
