Village residents reguarly visit the local Northampton catering College for lunch and today we visit for Christmas Lunch.

Arriving at 12:15pm Mulled Wine will be offered on arrival then a traditional three course meal will be served as the students practice Silver Service.

The residents always enjoy there visit to the Catering College and the Christmas visit is usually very special indeed.

Saturday 7 December - Care Home Lounge

Residents, family and friends will join together for a festive Christmas Party with music, singing, games, Hymns and Readings and Afternoon Tea and Cake.

Starts at 3pm with Stephen Witcombe singing in the Lounge, followed by a Christmas quiz and games with staff.  More music and a sing-a-long at 4.30pm then at 5pm 'Readings and Hymns'.  Finishing with some lovely afternoon tea and cake!

Homestead Singers visit Richmond Northampton

Richmond Northampton will be joined today by the Homestead Singers.

A local group of gentlemen decided they would form a choir based group whilst their wives met at the local W.I, the men have gone from strength to strength.

The Homestead Singers visit Richmond three to four times a year and the Christmas session is always a favourite.

Starting at 2:30pm in the restaurant followed by tea and mince pies at 4pm.

"Perfect Cure"

Jill plays violin and sings and call for dances, and Mark plays button accordian, guitar and also sings.  The extensive repertoire covers a wide range of musical genres with the main focus on traditional folk dance music and folk songs of England and Ireland.  They are back with a Christmas performance. 2.30pm - 3.30pm in the Auditorium

Preparations for Santa today as we start the Christmas celebrations on Christmas Eve.

Starting with Coffee Morning we will be holding the following events:-

Raffle Draw at 11.00am in the yellow lounge.

Village Managers Award at 11:30am in the yellow lounge.

Fish and Chip Lunch 12 noon in the village restaurant.

Christmas carols in the village restaurant taking place around the piano at 1:30pm.

For those unable to make the festive activities Mince Pies and Mulled Wine will be served all day in the Coffee shop.

Wising everyone a Merry Christmas from all at Richmond Northampton.
